Configuring Courses for Curriculum Planner
Before courses are added to the relevant plans they should be created in the Curriculum module. It is recommended that UIs and UIOs have already been created, or rolled forward as planned using the Roll Forward functionality for a planned year.
Note: UIOs with a planned status are displayed with a different icon to help you distinguish between planned and non-planned statuses.
The following covers the aspects of curriculum building that relates to curriculum planning:
You can add and maintain fees for a UIO on the Curriculum Details screen which are used as part of the calculations in the Curriculum Planner module.
You can add and maintain incomes for a UIO on the Curriculum Details screen that you will receive that are not received through fees as part of the Curriculum Planner module.
To add a course income, do either of the following:
- Right-click on the Incomes node in the UIOs tree, and select Add from the shortcut menu
- Select the Incomes node in the UIO tree, and click the Add button on the Curriculum ribbon
The fields on the UIO Incomes screen are described in the following table.

Note: Only aims with the same funding year as the plan will be selectable for a course in the Curriculum Planner module.
